Message From the Boarding Manager

Values:

Story, time spent:

Wongutha CAPS has a rich history of faith and those that have been faithful to the Lord to see his work be done, this continues to be echoed through the staff and the students that have been called to this place. It is amazing to see the Lord work through each and every person that have come to call Wongutha home.

We pride ourselves on our relational approach to our training with the student’s, rather than simply telling students what to do we do our best to come alongside them and usher and push them to achieve the best outcome for them. It is amazing and beautiful to see students from all over rural WA come together and form familial bonds with each other.

It is an honour and privilege to play a part not only in their development, training for life and to help them discover who they are not only as individuals but also in the body of Christ. It is a genuine joy of mine and of the staff that have been called to serve in the boarding houses to share and instruct our students in the ways of Christ and the Gospel but to also come alongside them and to teach them the culture and ways of hostel life.

We thank the families that have entrusted us with the care of their children and loved ones, as it is no small task to be away from them for such long periods of time. It is not a task that we take lightly and that we dedicate a large part of our time to ensure that those we have been trusted with receive the most holistic care possible. As much as we are here to train and teach we are very grateful for how great our students are at also teaching us about their communities and their way of life. We look forward to keeping in touch with the families of our young people and fostering the relationships we build with you in community!
